Revolution on the Planet of the Apes on Hype Space.
This is old, but i just found it. This is Ty Templeton, artist writer and editor extraordinaire, and our boss for Revolution on the Planet of the Apes.
He appeared on Space to hype the books when they came out, and they used a lot of my art from #1 for this. The publisher has been having second thoughts about doing a collection, if your someone who would like to see the Revolution on the Planet of the Apes books collected, like i would, write Mr. Comics and tell them about it for me please?
Still in Toronto for another day, but soon I'll be back at work. In the mean time though....
After the con, i was able to finally catch Ronley Teper & co preforming @the Tranzac in Toronto Live. This is a band/performer i've been following for a little while now, found her via myspace, my cousin plays with her sometimes. you can check her out here.
Also lots of links on youtube with the vid, check them ALL out. :)
The great thing was that i wanted to see this show but forgot the day of about it, lost in Kensington market reminiscing w old friends. Made some new ones too. Then me and john walked up to Bloor on Brunswick to get some sushi, and lo there we were passing the Tranzac! Ronley was out side and we said hello, got the stage time and grabbed a great din before the show. Nice night.
a film about the roerich garden project in montreal
Found this on you tube about a project by a local artist i know. Emily Rose Michaud & company built it in the winter. Miss Janet made this excellent 6 min doc about the day Emily and a team of volunteers set it up together over the course of one very cold day. The Garden lived on, you can keep up with their progress here. It's pretty damn cool.
quote: theglobeandmail Comedian George Carlin, a counter-culture hero famed for his routines about drugs, dirty words and the demise of humanity, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Sunday. He was 71.
Remember my dad or someone going on about how cool this dude was, first time i became aware of him when i was a toddler. I loved listening to him and Cheech and Chong, trying to inmate them, though it was a long time till i was allowed to hear the most infamous of his routines.
Always thought he was insanely funny even before i had a clue about how 'blue' he was.

Trailer for Therefore Repent! a post-rapture graphic novel
So i heard this song recently - Dogs by Michelle Breslin! - i've been planing to do a trailer for Therefore Repent! for a while and this song just fit so perfectly.
Ok, so another more polished how to video on the craft of comics.
This one came from a question i got on Panel and Pixel from Kevin Mellon & Jason Copland. I'm thinking this is fun stuff, so I'm probably going to start making vodcasts part of the regular CH 0 feed.
The sounds of Strings and chanting recorded on the way to the Ms Guided Zine Launch
Opportunistic recording of Strings and chants in the Montreal Metro. A busker called to me from cathedral like chambers in the Jean Talon Metro station in Montreal, on my way to a live show. Some exuberant young people coming down the escalator broke into the moment with a team chant, very much like i recorded years ago in the NY city time square subway station...
This was at a zine launch, Cass was helping out set it up and i tagged allong. There were a few good local bands/acts, and one god awful one from out of town. But this is one song by someone who's voice was just amazing, reaches out and grabs you.
I have to check in with the organizer, for now only know her first name is Meghan Riley, she has some opera training and she's also very charming in person. We [Cass and I] were both smitten. I'll post some more from this show shortly, want to get the info sorted first....
Hey all, some nice stuff for the clip pile here; stumbled across this a bit late, Comic News Insider featured the book on their weekly top three list when it came out in January. This is a clip from Episode 125 - Tue, 29 January 2008!
I'm Going to be at the upcoming New York Comic Con - April 18-20, 2008!
Also i've confirmed with Vito, I'm booked to do a singing for Therefore Repent! on the 21st the Monday after the con with my co-creator on Sea of Red, Rick Remender (Fear Agent) and Tony Moore(Walking Dead) @ Jim Hanley's Universedowntown store in New York City [map]! If your in town i hope you can make it out to the store.
Also really look forward to meeting the guys, Tony did some awesome work on my covers for Sea of Red, I've worked with both of them but i haven't met either of them in the flesh so it's going to be cool to actually encounter the real people! Hope it goes well :)
Time TBA and last...
And we got a nice short blurb in the March 2008 issue of Rue Mourge!
