Sea of Red tells the tale of a young sailor turned undead by the crew of a cursed Pirate ship, his century-spanning search for revenge and the tricks that time plays on the mind.
Marco Esperanza has spent the past 400 years tied to the bow of a sunken vessel, clinging to life in the dark, briny, deep. Now, discovered by a film director eager to film a live vampire battle, he seeks revenge on the man responsible for his torment.

How the work was done
I had a lot of liberty with how I handled my share of the job on Sea of Red. Kieron provided me with very loose thumbs of how they thought the book would flow, but it was largely up to me to do the art. It was handy to have some of the thinking done for me like that, where the inspiration struck I revised and hopefully improved on layouts, and generally had more time and energy left to put into the art this way. Here’s a bunch of examples of pages in the works.
